Colleen Reed is a multidisciplinary artist and photographer based in Southern Indiana. She began her professional career in 2011 as the founder and sole operator of Coll Neu Photography, where for more than 14 years she has documented families, professionals, and weddings with an emphasis on authentic connection and visual storytelling.
In recent years, Reed’s artistic practice has expanded through her work at Tell City Regional Arts, where she currently serves as Executive Director. In this role, she has rekindled her passion for community-centered art, focusing on increasing access to creative opportunities for residents of all ages. Through low- to no-cost classes and programming, she works to enrich both youth and seniors while fostering cultural engagement within the region. Reed is dedicated to cultivating spaces where art is visible, accessible, and woven into everyday life. Her work reflects a belief that public art strengthens communities by creating shared experiences and a sense of place. By leading collaborative projects—most notably a community mural involving over 35 local artists—Reed brings meaningful art and culture directly to Perry County, IN and surrounding counties. Colleen has also transformed her local Main Street through seasonal and holiday murals, and has led three community mural projects over the past three years, with another large-scale mural planned for 2026. |
